summer's almost over!

It's been forever since I've updated my blog. We just got back from Kodiak, AK on Monday. We had such a good time visting my grandma and exploring the island. The weather was beautiful about half the time which is pretty good for Kodiak. We spent our days hiking, playing at the beach, visiting family, and just relaxing. I spent my summer's in Kodiak growing up so it's neat to be able to take our kids up there so they can have some of the same experiences. My mom was up there for 3 of the days we were there which was fun. We went on a kayaking trip around the islands and saw all sorts of wildlife. I took my grandma out on a dinner cruise one evening which was a lot of fun. Brock was able to go on a few fishing trips, so we have our freezer stocked for the winter with salmon and halibut! Our summer is about to come to an end which is sad. The first half of the summer was a bit hectic for me with having a new baby and both kids home. Now I'm just starting to really enjoy the summer and it's over! Madison starts first grade next week and Alex is going back to preschool three mornings a week. It will a lot of fun having just Boston for a few hours a week. He's so much fun! He's so mellow and just adores his two big sisters. They love helping take careof him!
