last post before baby arrives (hopefully)

Hopefully this will be my last post before we announce the birth of our little boy! I'm a little over 38 weeks now which is when I had Alex, so in my logical thinking we should be having a baby today! I was 5 cm/ 80% effaced at my appointment last Thursday which seems crazy! We've given up on trying to induce labor after trying everything short of castor oil for the past week! Last Wednesday night and all day Thursday I had tons of contractions and was pretty convinced we were getting close. Jasmine even came down from Portland Wednesday night since she wants to be here for the delivery. She stayed for two days and we walked a total of 9 1/2 miles on Thursday, yeah it didn't help! I've felt pretty normal the last few days, so I guess we'll just see what happens:) Brock keeps asking me over and over "Are you having contractions!?" which is getting a little annoying! I assured him he would be the first to know if I was truly in labor!

The girls are very excited about having a little brother soon. I can't tell if their more excited about him being born, or the fact that they get to go stay with their grandparents while I'm in the hospital!

Below are a few pics of the girls and some belly pics from today. Alex is always getting into my make up and trying to dress as eccentrically as possible! She's usually changed her clothes at least three times before lunch. She pretty much only wears dresses, and under her dress she wears at least one skirt, usually two! She's definitely polar opposite from her sister who isn't into girly stuff at all!

Madison's all time favorite thing to do is play legos, this has been going on for at least two years now! She is always telling us she wants to be a builder and designer when she grows up~ She got some fun lego sets for her birthday and is constatntly begging us to work on them. Below is her latest creation~

5 cm!!!! I was at the hospital at 4cm.....so you must be SOOOOOOO close! Olivia was born at 39 weeks and not a day too soon, for I was SOOOOO done! I hope you have been doing ok in the heat recently! I always feel bad for pregnant women in hot temperatures!! You will be in my prayers, and I am SURE your next post will be of your bouncing baby boy! Take care!!

Whatever you do do not take castor oil... I did. Maisen came so fast...2 hour labor... not enjoyable one bit!
