We're home finally!

So, let me give you a little update~ We got back into Portland just before midnight Thursday night. Nick came and picked us up in our car and we went downtown to our hotel. Forntunately we were able to trick the kids into staying on Hawaii time with the blackout curtains in the hotel room:) So they slept until almost 11! It was fabulous. Brock went to pick up his suit in Friday late morning and then we met my grandma Laura and my mom for lunch at The Dragonfish inside our hotel. After lunch we headed to Washougal for Jasmine's wedding rehearsal. Everything went pretty smoothly and Madison made fast friends with the ring bearer, Conner. They were so cute together:)
Friday night we had a girls night out with the bridal party. Brock stayed back with the girls and had pizza with Garret and baby Jack.
This morning the girls slept in once again and then we got all ready and headed back out to Washougal to get ready for the wedding. The girls were so excited to get all dressed up:) The wedding was beautiful. Madison and Alex did great. Alex fell asleep on Brock's shoulder during the ceremony:) Connor the ring bearer put Jasmine's ring on Madison's finger during the ceremony, it was so funny:) At the end of the ceremony the minister invited everyone to meet downstairs for cake and champagne, and Madison repeated loudly, "Ooh cake and champagne!"
We initially were going to stay another night in Portland, but decided 9 days away from home was enough. So we went back to our hotel and packed everything up and headed home. Unfortunately we had to pay for the night anyway since we decided this way past checkout. Oh well~ We met up with Josh & Elisabeth Parker at Macaroni Grill at Bridgeport for dinner which was great! Our thought was that the girls would sleep on the way home, yeah not so much! Anyways we made it home safely, and all in all we had a great little getaway!
