our anniversary getaway

So, December 21st marked Brock's and my 6th wedding anniversary! Wow time really flies, it kind of makes us feel old:) We both had to work on our actual anniversary, so we ended up celebrating on the 22nd.

We started out Saturday early afternoon by dropping the girls off at grandma Lorraine's house. Then we headed up to Portland to do some last minute shopping at IKEA. We'd actually never been to the IKEA in Portland yet, so it was pretty cool! Several hundred dollars later we were on our way to downtown Portland to check in to our hotel. We stayed at The Paramount which is great because it's close to all the places we like to go:) So, we got settled in our room and then met up with Jasmine and Nick for a quick coffee before they headed off to Black Butte.

Brock and I got dressed up which is a rarity for us and went to dinner at El Gaucho. Our dinner locale was a surprise, and I'd have to say it was probably one of the nicest and most expensive places we've been!

This morning we slept in, which was fabulous. We picked up a desk at Pottery Barn we'd ordered for our office makeover:) So with our Honda Pilot completely stuffed, seats down and everything, we headed back to Corvallis. We picked up the kids at my mom's house and stopped by Home Depot to grab some paint. Now we're in the process of clearing everything out of our office, who knew we had so much junk! It's a little overwhelming. So Brock and I are going to stay up late and paint and set up our new desk in our office. We'll try to take some pics, but we're kindof bad about that. So, anyways, that's a quick update---
