little kitchen project....

painter's in training

We've had a yellow kitchen since we moved into our house over 5 1/2 years ago so we decided it was time for a change! It's hard to believe we've gone almost an entire year without a painting project. The last project was painting Boston's room last January. I knew I wanted to paint it some sort of brown/tan/latte'ish color so I narrowed it down to two. Jasmine & fam were down this weekend and they helped me make the final decision. One of the things I like about doing these sorts of projects is that it forces me to clean behind things and reorganize a bit...and possibly get rid of a few things (which Brock isn't so fond of, but he's getting used to it). I like to come up with fun house projects, but I don't necessarily like to do the actual "work"....that's where my fabulous husband comes in. I don't think he really trusts me with a paint brush anyway! We let the girls paint a small area, and then Brock went to work. Once he get's started doing something he usually keeps going until the jobs done. So needless to say, the poor guy stumbled into bed at 4am! We had about an hour overlap before I had to get up and go to work, but I will say it looks amazing! So much better than the yellow!

hmm I wonder how long my kitchen will stay looking so clean

a post can't be complete without a pic of my sweet baby Boston;)

It looks great! Nice job :-). My husband does not trust me with a paint brush either :-). He is painting our bathroom this week!

It looks great! I'm really anxious to paint some walls, but we're renting, so whatever I paint, I'll have to paint over when we move out... Hmmm...

Does Brock still want coffee every time he goes in there? :)
