getting ready for baby "B"

Brock spent a good part of yesterday painting the nursery. He replaced the light fixture which was super ugly before! We still need to replace the baseboards and do some finishing touches, but it's mostly done. I pretty much copied Jasmine's nursery colors since I thought they were so cool! This was the third time we've painted this room in the past 4 1/2 years. First we painted it light yellow for Madison, then Madison moved out when Alex arrived and we switched to pink. This time we decided to get a little more exciting and do two colors! So, now it's orange and turquoise. I ordered a cribset the matches pretty well, but it's not here yet.

Jasmine came down from Portland with little P today. We had lunch at my mom's then came back to our house to watch the Super Bowl. Jaz brought a bunch of Preston's hand-me-downs, so I think I'm pretty much set for the first several months! We started sorting through all my girl clothes, and Jasmine took a few things in case she has a girl someday. I have a ton leftover though if anybody needs girl items! I figure there's no point saving everything, because even if we do have another baby someday there's no guarantee it'll be a girl.

So, we have a name picked out for the new baby, but Brock wants me to keep it a secret. He seems to think I'm not very good at keeping secrets, so I'm trying to stay strong! We'll see how long I last....
