So I haven't posted in a few weeks. It never seemed like we were doing anything exciting enough to blog about. Things are going pretty good for us. Madison is in her second month of kindergarten. She seems to love it, each day is packed with all sorts of fun activities. She's been learning to read. I ordered her the beginner BOB books and she does pretty good. It's funny, if she's reading them in the car, her reading puts Alex straight to sleep:)
Alex is also enjoying preschool. She's been going to Grant Avenue on Tues/Thurs for 2 1/2 hrs. It's amazing how much her vocabulary has expanded since starting preschool! A few weeks ago she started stuttering and it totally freaked me out, but I think it was just that her mind was moving faster than she could get her words out. It only lasted about a week which I was very relieved about! Her preschool class is going to the pumpkin patch this week which will be very cute! I'll be sure to be better about taking pictures. I've kindof slacked off in the picture taking the past few months.
So this past Thursday & Friday I went to a conference in Portland with some of my coworkers. It was OHSU's perinatal/neonatal update. It was pretty good, of course there were good speakers and boring ones. One of the perks of this conference is that it's held at the Embassy Suites by Washington Square, so my favorite mall in Portland is just a short walk away:) Thursday afternoon Jasmine and Preston came to visit which was great! She tagged along with Jenni and me and we had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and wandered around the mall for a bit. We headed back home Friday evening.
Saturday Madison had a 1:00 soccer game, then the girls and I headed over to Bend to visit my friend Seree and her family. It was a short visit but we had a good time. Seree has a beautiful house and was very hospitable. Madison loved playing with her older son Jimmy who's 12! She was begging me for a big brother (I'm not sure how that would work out). We ate at this super delicious BBQ place Saturday night, Brock totally missed out:) Sunday we went to church with them then had lunch downtown and walked around by the river before we headed back home. It was a lot colder over there which reminded me that I'm totally not looking forward to winter!
I guess that's all for now. Madison is at kindergarten and Alex is just waking up, I can hear her playing in her crib:)
