After church today we headed over to Newport for the afternoon. I figured this was one of our last chances this year to go over there and have nice, sunny weather. We met up with our friends the Neumann's. The girls played together at South Beach and had a lot of fun digging in the sand and flying kites. After the beach we stopped by the aquarium which Alex thought was the most exciting thing ever, especially the touch tank! We ended our adventure by having dinner at the Chowder Bowl. Overall we had a really good time. I always forget how close the coast is to our house, we should definitely go over there more often!

It was fun! Great pics. The one of Alex flying the kite is very cool. And I am truly thankful only the corner of my hand is in it! =) Like you said, we have to remember that the coast really isn't all that far away.
