We started our adventure Thursday night after work. We drove up to Portland and stayed with Nick and Jasmine. There we got our first taste of what it would be like getting the girls asleep in a new place. Turns out they are quite attached to their crib and bed :) I slept with them in a double bed while Natasha slept on a couch. Don't worry it wasn't as pigish of me as it sounds, Natasha got much better sleep ;)
Friday morning we woke up and rushed off to the airport. Nick dropped us off so we didn't have to pay for parking. Jasmine acted like she was just walking us to the gate and the she "left". But really she was coming with us (the girls didn't know), and then Jasmine suprised them on the plane. Madi was excited, but she didn't seem very suprised I think she figured it out a while ago but just played along.

As soon as we landed we went straight to the ... uh ... CostCo :) First we stocked up with yummies and then we drove to our condo. THEN we went straight to the beach :) We played in the sand and swam in the water it was wonderful. I grilled steaks and made baked patatoes for dinner tonight, and we are all full and fat and warm. the evening is beautiful and cool and comfortable, it has been a great start to a hopefuly great vacation. We told Jasmine we were bringing her along so she could be our nanny, really we just brought her to see what it would be like to go on vacation with three kids :) Here she is getting a nose bleed in the car on the way to the condo.

Sounds like things are going great! I'll try not to be jealous as I'm staring at the pouring rain. :) We'll look forward to lots of stories when you get back.
