Sunriver

So our adventure to Sunriver began Saturday around noon. We knew the road were going to be a bit iffy, but we had planned this trip quite awhile ago, so we decided to just give it a go. Brock and I debated whether to get chains or snow tires, and decided to get chains since they were cheaper and we don't go up to the mountains frequently. The roads were fine until we got just past Oakridge, then chains were required the duration of our trip. I thought we were never going to get there, we had to go so slow with the stupid chains! Once we got to Hwy 97, it was a complete white out and almost completely dark! One of our chains broke and started making a banging sound, not long after that the other chain broke, so for about an hour and a half we endured this loud banging sound. The poor girls got so bored having to sit forever! Finally 6 1/2 hrs. later we made it to our house. Once we got there everything was great! My mom got us some snowshoes, Madison thought this was a blast! Sunday was so beautiful and sunny. We spent a few hours sledding down these nice groomed hills. When we first got there Madison was scared to death, and by the end she was going down the steep hills with jumps all by herself! I was quite impressed:)
Jasmine and Nick met us there which was great, the girls adore them! We had fun cooking, watching movies, playing in the snow and just hanging out. Before we left we broke down and got snow tires, just to play it safe. The roads ended up being fine, so I guess we'll have to make a few more trips up there to make them worth it:)
We got home around three this afternoon, Brock went to work, and I went to the gym. After that we came home ate dinner, headed to swim lessons then went to life group! Brock and I just finished unloading our car. I'm so exhaused! But I'm sure we won't go to bed which is so dumb, we always regret it in the morning:) Oh, well....
