Snowball

So as most of you know from our Christmas letter, we got a kitten over the Christmas holiday. We adopted her at PETCO through some sort of kitty angel rescue program. Madison wanted a grey kitten with a white belly and she fit the description quite well. Madison decided to call her "Snowball." Brock and I really have very little experience with animals, so we were a bit apprehensive about the whole thing. She turned out to be very sweet and great with the kids. The only problem was soon after we got her home she started coughing and sneezing. After a few days we figured we better call the lady we got her from and she gave us some amoxicillin to give her, which was a bit tricky! Well, it's been over a week since she's been on antibiotics and she's still coughing constantly. So today she went to the vet and it turns out she has a polyp in her throat! What are the chances! Anyway, she is going to have surgery tomorrow afternoon and spend the weekend in the kitty hospital. Poor thing! Hopefully everything turns out okay. We've become pretty attached to her, especially Brock, he's her favorite:)

now THAT is an expensive Christmas present.
and i have to disagree with the juice. i can totally see how Brock would be the kitty's favorite - i mean, he IS the only male around
