look who's 9 months!

It seems like just a few days ago I was writing a 6 month update for sweet little Boston. Where does the time go! Boston's growing like a weed. We had his 9 month check up today and he weighed in at a whopping 23 lbs 6 oz (89th percentile) and is now 30 inches (94th percentile). I'm still nursing him which is a record for me. I nursed Alex for 8ish months and Madison for 6 months. For some reason it's been a lot easier this time. For one thing I've had a lot more milk and I'm not working very much which makes it way more convenient. He's now eating three meals a day, mostly fingerfoods. It's so adorable; as soon as we put him in his highchair, he get's so excited. He'll start flapping his arms and kicking his legs super fast! He'll pretty much eat anything we give him. His favorites are pretty much all types of fruit, broccoli, and yogurt.

This past Sunday he cut his very 1st tooth! We were beginning to wonder if he was ever going to get teeth:) He's also been rolling all over the place and is super close to crawling! The girls have so much fun playing with him and including him in all their crazy games.

We've been enjoying this fabulous spring weather. We walked to pick Madison up at school today for the first time since last fall. We stayed and played on the playground for awhile and I got a few pics of the kiddos-

Here's a few recent pics of the kiddos, well mostly Boston:) Nothing too exciting happening that I can think of. Although, Boston did cut his first tooth today. Just three days shy of 9 months! We were beginning to wonder if he was ever going to get a tooth.

Madi skied down the bunny slope six times by herself, and of course I captured the only one on video that she fell during :) This was at the end of the day, so I had also finally mastered the bunny hill and some how managed to ski all the way down while videoing without falling and breaking the camera ;)

Even though I fell about a billion times (and Natasha is still laughing about it) we had a good time and look forward to going back some time.

Snow!

We just got back from spending the holiday weekend at Black Butte. We met Jasmine, Nick, Preston and my mom up there and had a great time! The girls have been looking forward to going to the snow for a long time. On Saturday Brock, Madi and I went skiing at Hoodoo. Madison's been begging us for several months to try skiing, so we figured we'd give it a try. The last time either of us had skiied was in high school, so we took a lesson for 1/2 the day then skiied on our own the rest of the afternoon. Madi did an all day lesson and did great! Jasmine was gracious enough to watch Boston and Alex for us while we were gone all day. Boston completely adores Jasmine, I think sometimes he gets the two of us confused. Alex loved sledding, but she can only handle being out in the cold for short periods of time:) She's not quite as tough as her older sister!
Boston is glad to be home. He sleeps much better in his crib in his own room. He wasn't too excited about sleeping in the pack n' play in our room! He woke up at 4 both mornings which was just fabulous. Oh well. He had lots of fun playing with his older sisters. The girls include him in all their little pretend games whether he likes it or not--it's pretty cute!

Eight months two days ago

Boston and I started waterbabies together about a month ago. We are having so much fun! He absolutely loves playing and splashing around, it's so cute. Madison had the day off from school today so she came along and took pictures. Not very many of them turned out, but we did get a few good views of his wild hair!
Boston is now eight months old. He's such a happy little guy. He loves to clap his hands and he babbles constantly. He hasn't learned to move around yet, but he really doesn't need to. He has two sisters that will bring him anything he wants! He barely tries to reach for something and they come right to his rescue. He's starting to throw little fits when he doesn't get what he wants or something gets taken away from him. He can really get the water works going, it's pretty funny. He still hasn't cut any teeth, I've been expecting one to cut through any day for the past four months now!
The girls are doing good. They're very excited about going to play in the snow next weekend! We're meeting my sister's family at Black Butte for the holiday weekend. Madison really wants to try skiing. Brock and I are by no means skiier's, but maybe we'll brave it and go for a day so Madison can take a lesson. Hopefully neither of us wind up in the hospital:)

~update~

It's been awhile since I've updated my blog, I was on a roll for awhile- not sure what happened?

Boston is 7 1/2 months now! He's growing like a weed of course. He pretty much went straight from pureed baby food to finger foods in the past few weeks. Still no teeth, but he does a pretty good job gumming his food. It's so cute watching him "chew" his food and smack his lips:) I've been giving him at least a little something every time we sit down for a meal because he get's all upset if we eat and don't include him. He's been clapping his hands and saying (yelling) "da-da-da-da" a lot lately. I think he's going to be loud and dramatic like his daddy! He's still not crawling, but that's really more convenient for me. I'm not really looking forward to him getting into everything. I don't think his sister's realize yet what they're in for in a few months! I started water babies with him last Friday, which he absolutely loved. Being in the water doesn't even phase him, he let's me dunk his head under water and lay him on his back, it's pretty fun!

Madison and Alex are doing well. Madison has a student teacher this term who she really likes. She hasn't had the best school year teacher wise so this is a big postitive! She got in the car after the new teacher started and said "Guess what Alex! I got a new teacher, and she's not mean!" It was pretty funny...Alex is loving going to preschool. She lucked out with a super sweet teacher who she completely adores.

I'm excited the days are getting longer. I will be so happy when spring and summer arrive! We have several fun trips and activities to look forward to. Hopefully I can get myself in gear and start running again, I'm supposed to run in the Hood to Coast relay with some people from my work in August. I have a long way to go to be in shape for that! I'll do my best to update my blog a little more regularly...

7 months yesterday!

Boston turned seven months yesterday! He's very lucky to have two older sisters who adore him and keep him well entertained! He's a happy and very good natured little guy. Not too much new to report developmentally:) He's sitting up, but not moving around yet-which is probably a good thing for me! Still no teeth! Both of the girls had at least a few teeth by now, I'm sure they'll come in eventually! Now that the girls are back in school maybe we'll start a water babies class, I'm sure he'd love that!
